According to The Athletic’s report, the owners of Manchester United are keen on retaining manager Erik ten Hag at the Premier League club.
This news comes after a disappointing 4-3 loss to Chelsea, where United had initially been leading 3-2 until Cole Palmer scored twice in the closing moments of the match.
This defeat has dealt a blow to United’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season, as they currently sit in sixth place with a -1 goal difference.
Despite this setback, it is believed that INEOS, the club’s owners, are supportive of Ten Hag and the manager himself is also interested in staying at United.
