The EFL Cup (Carabao Cup) quarterfinals saw Chelsea defeat Newcastle United on Tuesday, but despite the victory, Chelsea icon Karen Carney highlighted concerns about midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
After a 1-1 draw, Chelsea won 4-2 on penalties against Newcastle.

During normal time, Callum Wilson and Mykhailo Mudryk scored the goals.
But following the game, Fernandez was the centre of attention.
The World Cup winner for Argentina was added back into the starting lineup, beginning in midfield with Moises Caicedo.
However, Fernandez was replaced by Armando Broja in the 32nd minute due to what was apparently a bad cold.
At the end of the game, despite Mauricio Pochettino’s team winning, he appeared upset.
Carney commented, “He looks upset there Enzo, hopefully it is not serious or an injury or anything,” in reference to Fernandez (via The Chelsea Chronicle).
