Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, remarked that if Arsenal wins their remaining game, they might reclaim first place in the Premier League.
With a 3-1 victory over the Gunners at the Emirates, the champions reclaimed first place in the standings for the first time since November.
However, with Arsenal still having to play Everton at home, City only leads Mikel Arteta’s team on goal differential.
“If they win the current game, they will be league champions. They did an amazing job, and we are still there.
“The final eight to ten games will determine who wins this league. 15 more are left.
The Champions League is approaching, and it’s a lot. The players are worn out by the several games. We need to be here because losing would cost us six points and, in a best-case scenario, nine points, Guardiola told BBC.
