The manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, has announced that John Stones will not travel to Chelsea this weekend.
Midweek, during Stones’ Champions League victory over Young Boys, the player sustained an injury.
He will now miss the match at Stamford Bridge on Super Sunday, but Manuel Akanji will be available for Guardiola.

Stones is hurt, so he won’t be ready for tomorrow. We’ll find out when we return from the international break.
“I’m not sure if he’ll be fit to play Liverpool following the international break,”
Guardiola said at a news conference on Friday, “He [Akanji] is good, he trained today and is good [for Sunday].”
