Micah Richards and Gary Neville, two former Premier League players, have identified the reason why Manchester City is losing ground this year.
In their last three Premier League games against Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur, Man City has not triumphed in any of them.
After playing 4–4 against Chelsea, 1–1 against Liverpool, and 3–3 against Tottenham Hotspur, the Citizens lost two of their three games against their opponents.

Neville and Richards, however, believe that Pep Guardiola’s team is losing games because of complacency and that this season there is “something just not right” with them.
The remarks were made following Sunday’s 3–3 draw between Man City and Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium.
“What he won’t like about Guardiola is decision, the complacency, defensive lapses, and giving up points again to Tottenham,” Neville stated in remarks made following the game, as reported by the Daily Mail.
“Something just not right, too easy to play against on counter, individual mistakes again, seeing out the game at the end is all about concentration,” Richards stated in response to questions from the media. At crucial times, they need to focus, and they didn’t. Spurs excelled and managed to find a way. Just midfield, defence, and organisational gaps are nonexistent right now.
