Former Chelsea and England captain Karen Carney has heaped praise on Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi following his outstanding performance in Fulham’s 3-1 Premier League victory over Brighton.

Iwobi scored twice to help Marco Silva’s team defeat Brighton at Craven Cottage on Thursday.

Discussing the Nigerian international, Carney commented that the former star of Arsenal and Everton has now become mature and experienced.

“He has consistently been a hardworking team player, but it’s that quality of his. I believe tonight, playing in a more central role, he embraced the responsibility,” stated Karen Carney on Premier League Productions.
