The former attacker for Tottenham Hotspur, Darren Bent, has stated that Manchester United would have “no chance” of hiring Unai Emery from Aston Villa to take over as manager once Erik ten Hag leaves the team.
Ten Hag is facing a lot of criticism at Man United after the 2023–2024 season got off to a bad start.

Aston Villa, on the other hand, is playing brilliantly under Emery and is now four points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
Bent told talkSPORT that Emery wouldn’t leave Aston Villa right away when asked if he would be persuaded to switch from Aston Villa to United. He refused to.
“Not with the mess that Man United is in right now.” He is staying put. None at all. He currently plays for a reliable football team that is moving in the correct path.
I’m not aware of the situation at Man Utd. Indeed, Man United is a larger club than Aston Villa, no question about it, but at the moment, Aston Villa appears more stable and superior to Man United.
“Do you think Eddie Howe would leave Newcastle to go to Manchester United?” he continued. Definitely not.
