Andy Robertson emphasized that Liverpool will continue to persevere despite facing a setback in their pursuit of the Premier League title following a 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Eberechi Eze capitalized on Tyrick Mitchell’s assist to score early on, putting the visitors ahead at halftime.

Jurgen Klopp’s team intensified their attack in the second half but struggled with their finishing, similar to recent matches against Manchester United and Atalanta, resulting in their first home league defeat since October 2022.

The loss leaves Liverpool trailing leaders Manchester City by two points and level with Arsenal before the Gunners’ upcoming game against Aston Villa.

Robertson expressed confidence in Liverpool’s chances, stating that they will continue to fight until the end and give their all in the remaining six games of the season.

Despite Palace’s strong start and Eze’s goal, Liverpool’s captain Virgil van Dijk’s error almost allowed Jean-Philippe Mateta to extend the lead, but Robertson’s goal-line clearance kept the deficit at one.

Liverpool’s relentless attack was met with solid defensive displays from Palace, including a crucial save from Dean Henderson to deny Luis Diaz.

Oliver Glasner’s side posed a threat on the counter but struggled to break out of their own half in the second period.

Henderson made another impressive save from Darwin Nunez, while Liverpool’s efforts to equalize were thwarted, including a late block from Mitchell on Mohamed Salah’s shot.

With only six matches left in the season, Liverpool must now come to terms with a significant defeat that could have a major impact on their title aspirations.

Despite the challenges posed by other top teams, Robertson and his teammates remain determined to fight until the end and see where their efforts take them.
