Calvin Bassey, a defender for Fulham, claims to have great regard for Harry Maguire, the heavily maligned former captain of Manchester United.
Manchester United supporters have been critical of Maguire nonstop for his lacklustre play since moving to Old Trafford.

At the start of the current season, manager Erik Ten Hag removed the Englishman’s captaincy.
But Bassey thinks Maguire’s a great player.
Bassey told the Mirror, “He’s a quality player, and he was one of the players I looked up to when I was coming through the ranks and still do.”
“He plays the opposite side from me now that I’m on it, and he’s simply offering me some tips as any other elite player would.
“He was and continues to be amazing at Leicester. It was incredible what he accomplished for Leicester.
