Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey are both in the running to play against Manchester City this Sunday, according to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

Tuesday night’s 2-1 Champions League loss to Lens by the Gunners saw Saka walk off the pitch.

Arteta confirmed that the England winger had experienced a “muscular” problem and that it was a “worry” when he slumped to the ground holding his leg.

However, Arteta stated at his press conference on Friday that “He is in contention.

“Let’s see how he develops between now and Sunday.

Let’s see how he heals. “Obviously, he had to leave the pitch, and that’s never good news.”

Thomas Partey has recovered from a groyne injury and will be available for the top-of-the-table match, according to Arteta.

The Ghanaian midfielder, who hasn’t played since August, didn’t come on in Lens’ 2-1 defeat.

He is undoubtedly ahead of schedule. Due to a large number of necessities, we were unable to perform him on Tuesday. Against Manchester City, he will be on the roster, Arteta continued.
