Alejandro Garnacho, a young player for Manchester United, has credited David de Gea, Bruno Fernandes, and Lisandro Martinez as the Red Devils players who helped him adjust to life in the first team at the club.

Following the signing of a new five-year contract with the Premier League’s biggest club on Friday, Garnacho is expected to have a bright future at Man United.

The 18-year-old hasn’t played since March 12 because of an ankle injury he sustained during their scoreless draw with Southampton, but last week saw his return to training.

Garnacho said to MUTV, “They have really treated me just like one of the lads from the very first day that I went into the dressing room.”

“Since I am the youngest member of that team, players like Lisandro Martinez, who is like – well, around here we say he is like my dad, come to mind.

He treats me like my father; he corrects me when necessary and praises me when I perform well. He makes an effort to assist me in everything.

Then there are players like Bruno [Fernandes], who I know well. He offers every bit of assistance he can. De Gea and I are good friends and have a great rapport because we both speak the same language and are professional footballers. They all support me greatly.
