After being eliminated early from the CAF Champions League, Enyimba chairman Nwankwo Kanu is certain that the team would recover.
After losing to Libya’s Al Ahly Benghazi 4-3 on aggregate, the Nigeria Professional Football League winners were eliminated from the competition.
In the rematch, Finidi George’s team was kept to a scoreless draw after losing the first leg 4-3.
Kanu, who was dissatisfied, said they shouldn’t get stuck in their feelings about the loss and should instead move on.
Naturally, it is unpleasant when you lose a game. They did well, though, if you look at the game’s positives, Kanu remarked.
“That’s another issue if we didn’t play well and lost.”
The CAF Champions League has twice been won by Enyimba.
