Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala distances herself from alleged anti-Otti remarks regarding the Enyimba Economic City project and threatens legal action against political saboteurs.

On Sunday, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director General of World Trade Organization (WTO), warned against exploiting her for propaganda by “political hacks.”

Okonjo-Iweala promised to take measures against the hackers who have been exploiting her for propaganda purposes.

Her reaction was prompted by a statement attributed to her, which criticized Governor Alex Otti of Abia State.

During the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference, it was reported that the Director-General of WTO discussed Otti’s management of Enyimba Economic City.

It was alleged that Okonjo-Iweala said, “Although I recognize the Labour Party government’s efforts in Abia State, I must admit to being taken aback by the excessive amount of resources devoted to laying blame on the previous administration.”

My concern is substantiated by the government’s meddling with the Enyimba Economic City project, which has potential to transform future generations.

To begin with, the government initiated a state-sponsored propaganda machine that ran smoothly.

Okonjo-Iweala dismissed the reported comments as false in her response to the progress.

On X, she posted a comment stating that the article about Abia State and its Governor HE Alex Otti was fake. She also mentioned taking screenshots of it to support her claim against political manipulation. In addition, she warned politicians not to use her name in any propaganda activities or else face consequences for their actions.
