With a total of 195 suspects apprehended, the police have successfully rescued 19 individuals who were previously abducted.
The recovery of various weapons is also commendable, as the police were able to seize 10 AK-47 rifles, one sub-machine gun, 37 locally fabricated firearms, and other firearms.
Additionally, they confiscated 67 live ammunition of different calibers, 78 live cartridges, 25 vehicles, 15 tricycles, and 25 motorcycles, among other items.

Out of the 195 suspects arrested, 29 were involved in kidnapping, 28 in armed robbery, 25 in theft, and seven in murder and culpable homicide.
Furthermore, 20 suspects were apprehended for unlawful possession of firearms, four for rape and defilement, 37 for cultism and related offenses, and 45 for vandalism and other offenses.
The majority of these suspects have already been arraigned in court and remanded in custodial centers, while others are currently under investigation.
It is worth noting that two male suspects involved in conspiracy and abduction have already been arraigned, convicted, and sentenced to three years imprisonment.
The Commissioner of Police emphasized that Enugu State has maintained a relatively peaceful and secure environment for law-abiding residents to conduct their legitimate businesses.
However, he urged citizens, especially media practitioners and netizens, to exercise discretion, objectivity, and accuracy when reporting sensitive security issues.
This is crucial in order to prevent the creation of an atmosphere of chaos, fear, and unnecessary tension among unsuspecting citizens. Additionally, such acts could potentially lead to the violation of the law, particularly the cybercrime Act, which carries legal consequences.
