Enugu: LP deputy candidate for governor leaves party

The deputy governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for Ebonyi State in 2023, Prince Ajah Nwabueze, has resigned from the party.

Ajah asserts that he appropriately consulted with families, supporters, political friends, and influential parties before making his choice.

Ajah thanked every Labour Party (L.P.) member for their support during his membership, speaking to reporters in Abakaliki. He did, however, first read the resignation letter he had written to Ivo L.G.A., the Ishiagu Amagu Ward Chairman.

“With effect from today, I kindly notify you of my decision to withdraw from the Labour Party (LP).

Following appropriate engagements with important stakeholders, political allies, families, and supporters, a choice is made.

For myself, my political allies, or my followers, continuing to be a member of the Labour Party (LP) will not be politically beneficial.

“This development will provide me the opportunity to investigate alternative avenues that could fulfil the political ambitions of myself, my associates, and my followers.

“I would like to express my gratitude to all Labour Party (LP) members for their support throughout my time in the party and wish you well in your future political aspirations. Kindly accept my respectable promises, Mr. Chairman.
