Messi scored a late free kick in injury time to help Inter Miami upset Cruz Azul 2-1 in a Leagues Cup match.
During the match, the former Barcelona captain came on as a 54th-minute substitute.
Messi’s performance for Inter Miami enraged football fans in the United States.
