Eniola Badmus, a Nollywood actress, has commended the Nigerian economy during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s tenure.

The decrease in imports and increase in exports, as observed by her, suggests a growth in the economy of the country.

Highlighting a shift from consumption to production, the actress emphasized that Nigeria has achieved unparalleled progress in trade under Tinubu’s leadership.

She posted on her Instagram story, stating that there has been a decline in imports and an increase in exports which indicates the growth of our economy.

From January to August 2024, our imports amounted to N24.44 trillion while we recorded exports worth N38.59 trillion resulting in an exceptional trade surplus of over N14 trillion within this period.

In Nigeria, this is an unprecedented occurrence – a shift from consuming to producing; which comes as a breath of fresh air.
