The EndBadGovernance movement plans a one-million-man protest across 36 states and the FCT this Saturday. Learn more about the upcoming demonstration.
The Take It Back Movement, a major leader in the nationwide protest to EndBadGovernance, has set Saturday as the date for a one-million-person demonstration across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
In a statement released on Thursday in Abuja, Mr. Sanyaolu Juwon – the National Coordinator of the movement – made this assertion.
According to him, on August 10th the Take It Back Movement (TIB) will join forces with other organizers and organizations for a massive one-million-man demonstration in all 36 states of Nigeria as well as in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja.
The upcoming occasion will signify a pivotal moment in our EndBadGovernanceInNigeria movement across the country, which commenced on August 1st of 2024.
Initially intended as a 10-day demonstration, the movement has now transformed into an enduring and far-reaching crusade that brings together supporters from all regions of Nigeria including those living abroad.
Starting from August 1 and concluding on Saturday, August 10th, the protest seeks to bring awareness to the widespread suffering experienced by citizens across all levels of government.
Despite criminal elements hijacking the protest, there was a significant turnout across the country, particularly in Northern states.
Although the President, Bola Tinubu, made an appeal in a broadcast across Nigeria on Sunday urging protesters to cease and grant his administration additional time, demonstrations persisted in Abuja, Kano and other regions of the nation.
