Elon Musk under investigation by Brazil Supreme Court Justice
Elon Musk, the owner of X, has been named as a target in an ongoing investigation by Brazilian Supreme Court justice, Alexandre de Moraes, regarding the dissemination of fake news.
Justice Moraes has also initiated a separate investigation into Musk for alleged obstruction.
In his decision, the Supreme Court justice accused Musk of waging a public “disinformation campaign” and disregarding the court’s orders to block certain accounts.
The justice emphasized that Musk’s actions disrespect the sovereignty of Brazil and the investigation will examine potential charges of obstruction, criminal organization, and incitement.

As of late Sunday, Musk has not commented on X about the latest development.
On Saturday, Musk announced that all restrictions on blocked accounts would be lifted, predicting that this move would negatively impact revenue in Brazil and potentially lead to the closure of the company’s local office.
