Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State, says that no Nigerian should die during the upcoming general elections while trying to get their own way.
Speaking on Sunday, when he and other officials from the state laid wreaths at Yola’s Mahmud Ribadu Square in memory of the country’s fallen heroes, Fintiri urged Nigerians to continue to pray for and support their country.
Fintiri urged people to keep praying for their country, support her efforts to live in peace, and help the widows of fallen heroes who gave their lives to preserve the country’s unity.
And only when we are at peace will this election benefit the nation as a whole. No Nigerian citizen’s life should be forfeited over a political contest. When we are both present and living, only you can exercise authority and enjoy leadership.
He sent out a call to action to everyone involved in the election process, especially INEC employees. He told them to know their jobs and do them in a way that will help the country’s security and progress.
