Femi Fani-Kayode, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has blasted the European Union (EU) for its report on the general elections of 2023.
As previously mentioned by DAILY POST, the EU stated in its report from last week that the election was marred by anomalies and that the result diminished confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC.
During the election season, the EU also accused Fani-Kayode and Festus Keyamo, a former minister of labor and employment, of spreading false information.
In response to the allegation, FFK, a former minister of aviation, accused the EU in a tweet on his Twitter account on Wednesday of choosing a side and expressed their regret over their favorite candidate losing the election.
He claimed that the report was intended to undercut, undermine, and degrade President Bola Tinubu’s triumph.
Despite the turmoil surrounding the president’s election on February 25, he expressed confidence that he will serve out his two terms in office.
“The EU is still stinging over the fact that its preferred candidate lost,” he added. Although we are aware of what took place behind the scenes, it is a subject for another day.
The fact that PBAT won is what matters most. They are now attempting to undermine, discredit, and tarnish his win by claiming that the election was rigged and faulty, and that his front-line generals and warriors, who defended him in the heat of battle, engaged in spreading false information.
“Whether they like it or not, PBAT is here to stay and, God willing, will lead Nigeria for the next 8 years! They are nothing but wretched losers and lost souls!
“I am pleased with the Presidency’s prompt and proper response to their dishonest, insulting, and contemptuous report. No more needs to be said.
