A Court of Appeal panel made up of three people and led by Judge Joseph Ikyegh is hearing the case.

All three of the major opposition parties, the Labour Party (LP), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), have disputed the results.
On February 28, the LP and PDP that Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the head of INEC, resign and the poll be called off.
