Charles Oputa, a well-known activist and singer from Nigeria better known by his stage name Charly Boy, has announced plans to join the ongoing demonstration in response to the results of the February 25 presidential elections.
According to Obasanjonews24, supporters of the Labour Party and Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, have persisted in holding demonstrations in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja in an effort to have the election that elected Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as president-elect annulled.
The Obidients, who are the supporters, claimed that the election results were rigged in the ruling party’s favour.
Socio-political activist Charly Boy praised the protestors in a tweet on Wednesday and promised to join them soon to amp up the demonstration.
“I am quite glad with the obedient youths and the brave lovers of Nigeria,” he added. We are all aware of the tremendous things that may be accomplished when we band together or work together.
“I’ll soon be joining my brave youths to expand our peaceful rally,” she said.
