Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party has been informed of the Labour Party’s loss in the Enugu State Governorship election by Kenneth Okonkwo, the party’s spokesperson for the presidential campaign of Peter Obi.
On Wednesday night, Okonkwo bemoaned the theft of his Party’s mandate in a series of Tweets sent on his official Twitter account. He compared this to what had transpired during the 2016 presidential election.
On the other hand, he said that Edeoga will appeal the decision and regain his triumph.
As Julius Caesar said, “Cowards die a lot before they die. The rigging of the election was not announced because Abia’s returning officer refused to be intimidated. The corrupt Abuja INEC officials gave the Enugu Returning Officer a name to declare, and he “moomooishly” proclaimed it, even though it was meant to be a Professor and someone’s father. At the same time, the Enugu Returning Officer admitted as much.

Please, God! Our nation be saved by God. Our governor mandate has now been stolen by the same people who stole our presidential mandate. We’ll make a full recovery, with God’s help.
“Chijioke Edeoga has promised to restore his mandate, I’ve been given that guarantee. No amount of good will ever overcome evil. As winners of Enugu State, kudos to the Obidients. The reputation of INEC as a bad organisation with a rotten leadership is well established. As meaningless as Mahmood’s organisation is, their announcement is also. We put our faith in God,” he said on Facebook.
According to Prof. Maduebibis Iwe, the returning officer for Enugu State for the Independent National Electoral Commission, PDP candidate Mbah received 160,895 votes, which was just enough to overcome Chijioke Edeoga of the LP, who received 157,52 votes.
If the inconclusive elections in Kebbi and Adamawa states are completed, the proclamation of the Enugu State governor result makes it the 26th Governor-elect declared by INEC.
