The immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for sending a congratulatory message on his 65th birthday. He mentioned that this gesture prompted some critics who were initially reluctant to extend their well-wishes to follow suit.

On Monday, El-Rufai expressed his gratitude in a post on his verified Facebook page, calling the flood of prayers and good wishes both humbling and gratifying.

The former governor expressed gratitude to friends, supporters, and well-wishers for their kind gestures. He noted that such encouragement continues to inspire his dedication to public service and nation-building.

El-Rufai wrote, “It’s been roughly a week since numerous friends, associates, and admirers sent me various messages and prayers to celebrate my 65th birthday.

I am truly humbled and grateful for all the prayers and good wishes. There are so many that it’s overwhelming, making it difficult to thank each of you individually—hence this message.

I am grateful to everyone who sent their prayers and best wishes, even those who were hesitant until President Tinubu’s message prompted them. May the Almighty God hear our prayers and continue to bless us all.

The former governor stated, “I’ve attempted to repost, retweet, and share all the birthday messages I received. However, as an imperfect person, I’m sure I couldn’t manage to share every single one. If yours was missed, please forgive me; it was a mistake of oversight rather than lack of appreciation.”
