In response to rumors that he will replace Bola Tinubu as president-elect’s chief of staff, Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai issued a statement.
After leaving government on May 29, El-Rufai declared he will not serve as Tinubu’s chief of staff.
As a result of his friendship with Tinubu throughout the campaign, El-Rufai was reportedly one of the candidates for the role of chief of staff for the president-elect.
El-Rufai asserted that he want to continue working in the private sector and support Nigeria’s growth.
On Saturday, the governor gave a speech while opening the Gombe Geographic Information Systems service center.
El-Rufai also presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for 550 Shongo Homes and Gardens in Gombe State as part of the Family Homes Fund.
El-rufai spoke up and stated, “I’ll be gone in 22 days, but I’ll be here whenever you need a troublemaker.
“I won’t be a chief of staff; I’ll work in the private sector. If somebody like Governor Inuwa Yahaya needs counsel, I’ll take a break.
