El Clasico: Barcelona gets significant boost before facing Real Madrid

A significant advantage has been granted to Barcelona ahead of their La Liga El Clasico matchup against Real Madrid on Saturday.

El Partidazo de COPE, a Spanish publication, reports (via MadridXtra) that five Barcelona players who have previously sustained injuries participated in the team’s training session on Friday before their match against Real Madrid at Camp Nou.

Robert Lewandowski, Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Raphinha, and Jules Kounde are the five players from Barcelona.

It is unknown, though, if they will be available for this weekend’s match between Madrid and the Catalan club.

Due to an ankle injury, Lewandowski has missed Barcelona’s last three matches in all competitions.

De Jong hasn’t played since mid-September due to an ankle sprain.

Raphinha has missed four games due to a muscle issue.

Due to a hamstring ailment, Pedri has only appeared in two games this season, and Kounde has missed Barcelona’s last two games due to a knee injury.
