Ekweremadu’s Wife Released from UK Prison

Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of former Nigerian Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, has been released from a UK prison after serving part of her sentence in the organ trafficking case.

Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, the wife of former Deputy Senate President Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has returned to Nigeria after being released from a UK prison.

It has been reported that Mrs. Ekweremadu returned to the country on Tuesday, following her completion of a six-year sentence imposed by a UK court due to her involvement in a controversial organ harvesting case.

The case, which also included Senator Ekweremadu and medical professional Dr. Obinna Obeta, attracted considerable international attention.

Senator Ekweremadu received a 10-year prison sentence for his involvement in the incident, and Dr. Obeta was also convicted.
