The Ekiti State Police Command showed off seven people who they say broke into a warehouse in Ado Ekiti and stole things.
According to a statement from the command’s spokesman, DSP Sunday Abutu, “The command got a credible report that an unidentified group of robbers were breaking into a warehouse at Km 4 of the Iworoko road in Ado-Ekiti.”
The Command’s operatives mobilized to the scene as soon as they received the report, arrested seven suspects, including Donne Houndetounkpo (25 years old), Coker Akeem, Adewole Olatunde (31 years old), Olowosile Bukinmi (25 years old), Ajileye Deborah (30 years old), Paul Jonati (32 years old), and Ojo Michael (31 years old), and released them.
During questioning, the suspects admitted to committing the crime, and DSP Sunday Abutu said that Akinleye Ojo was named as a member of the gang who almost got caught by the operatives.
The fleeing suspect is still being sought, but the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Moronkeji O. Adesina, insisted that the arrested suspect would be tried in accordance with the law and urged the public to uphold the law.
