Ekiti PDP urges Fayose’s dismissal
The Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, chapter in Ekiti State has made public its intentions to eject former Governor Ayodele Fayose from the organisation.
The party said that the National Working Committee, or NWC, had received its resolutions and decisions calling for the expulsion of Fayose.
The Caretaker Transition Committee’s Publicity Secretary, Chief Olalekan Amerijoye, revealed this to reporters in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday and declared that the party would no longer tolerate the immoral and anti-party actions of Fayose and other PDP officials in the state.
“It is true that difficulties have arisen, as is typical of any significant political organisation, occasionally resulting in temporary setbacks.
“While disagreements are a normal part of political development, we should have understood that the greater good should always take precedence over our differences.
“We are anticipating the National Working Committee’s response to the stakeholders in Ekiti’s decision to suspend former governor Ayodele Fayose from the party, which was made by a majority.
“The genuine members of the Ekiti PDP have agreed at our recent meeting on the appropriate sanctions for those who have transformed the party into a for-profit business.
We are anxiously awaiting their reaction in the interest of the PDP in Ekiti. These decisions have been sent to headquarters in Abuja by some individuals who identify as the “PDAPC.”
