Re-arrested for more serious offences is Noah Abraham, the notorious founder of Christ High Commission Church, Araromi-Ugbesi in Omuo-Oke, Ekiti State. Last year, Abraham made headlines for reportedly obtaining 300,000 Naira from churchgoers as a ticket to paradise.
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, or NAPTIP, worked with the Ekiti State Police Command to detain the notorious Pastor this time around. They were accused of kidnapping over nine persons, including minors, and impregnating his choir coordinator’s wife.
It was discovered that some of the prisoners were the offspring of his members, whom he had brainwashed, mesmerised, and turned against their parents.

Several of the parents of the children held captive, along with churchgoers and Pastor Abraham’s legal wife, recounted their ordeal and implored the government and relevant authorities to help them free their children, spouse, and family members from the pastor’s custody. They had staged a protest at the Ekiti State Police Command.
They claim that Pastor Abraham made their kids leave school and that a 27-year-old man who was employed by an unidentified company and received an official car was ordered to leave and left at the camp with no clear purpose.
The church’s choir coordinator, Mr. Dare Ikuenayo, acknowledged to journalists that the pastor had kidnapped and impregnated the mother of his three children.
“I joined the church in Kabba, Kogi State, but one day the pastor called to tell me that my wife has a gift of prophecy and that I should let her stay with him for a month so that she can work for God, so I did as he asked.
However, all of a sudden, I realised that my wife was unwilling to even see or speak with me. The pastor of the church declared that he had abducted my wife and that no one could ever take her from him as I was attempting to draw attention to myself.
“I did everything I could to help her, but it was in vain until he got her pregnant and moved into his house completely.”
The pastor’s wife, Mrs. Mary Abraham, testified that one night after their group arrived in Omuo-Ekiti for the cancelled divine mission, her husband asked her to leave because he wanted the choir coordinator’s wife to take up residence.
She claimed, “He told me the work he was doing now needed the woman to be with him, so he ejected me and stopped me from seeing my three kids.
“He made my children’s lives terrible by pulling all of them out of school. I cried yesterday when I saw my kid after the cops brought him here. I’m pleading with Nigerians to assist me in removing my kids from him.
In a similar vein, Abraham’s subordinate pastor said that his son, who was employed by a respectable organisation, was taken hostage and requested to resign.
The pastor stated, “Even when I filed a complaint at the police station, two of my three children were given access, but he contacted them on the way home and told them to run back, which they did.
He constantly accuses us of having various curses and demonic forces against us, and he continually demands that we sell our possessions and give the proceeds to him. Despite having contributed nearly $7 million to the church, I have nothing left. I’m not sure what he done to them, but even my kids don’t want to see me.
Pastor Abraham’s elder sister, an additional elderly woman, said that he had taken from her on several occasions almost a million naira, claiming that he was doing it to rid her of bad spirits.
Additionally, it was learned that Pastor Abraham is the target of numerous other complaints, each with a unique narrative that is too complex and delicate to be published in the media.
In response, Pastor Abraham declared that the story of the heaven ticket was his first task and that he was prepared to return to God after completing the task for which he had been sent to earth.
He refused to provide an explanation for his conduct, instead claiming that he was fulfilled because he had completed his responsibilities as instructed by God.
In the meantime, the coordinator’s wife, whom the founder impregnated, is still alive.
The investigation is proceeding in cooperation with NAPTIP, according to Sunday Abutu, a spokesman for the Ekiti State Police Command, who talked with journalists. He said that the police would follow up with more information.
Remember that on April 27, 2022, Pastor Abraham was taken into custody in Omuo, Ekiti, after gathering over forty people in a camp and demanding 3,000 Naira from each of them as a farewell to paradise. However, he was released on bond from a magistrate court.
