Governor Oyebanji has approved a work-from-home policy for Ekiti State workers, enhancing job flexibility and productivity for civil servants.

A work-from-home plan for civil servants in Ekiti State has been sanctioned by Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

The plan seeks to provide additional support for workers in the state amid the ongoing economic challenges.

As per the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yinka Oyebode’s announcement, employees in level 01-07 are to operate from home for three days a week under this fresh setup.

Furthermore, employees occupying levels 08-12 are expected to work remotely for two days each week, whereas those stationed on levels 13-17 will be required to do so one day per week.

On Monday, September 9, 2024, a new arrangement will take effect that does not cover certain critical personnel such as teachers, core healthcare workers in hospitals and security personnel.

As per the governor’s instruction, every MDA must come up with an efficient timetable for employees to guarantee that implementing a work-from-home system poses no threat to providing quality services.

The arrangement is set to last for two months and will be periodically evaluated based on prevailing circumstances.

In addition, other palliative measures implemented by the state government such as workers and pensioners monthly wage award and free bus service for students and workers remain unaffected by this arrangement.

The administration headed by Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji is dedicated to improving the welfare of workers and will persist in enforcing measures that boost their efficiency.
