There were eight people on the bus that were hurt in an accident that happened at Yangoji on the Abuja-Lokoja route.
The incident, which involved an 18-seater commuter Hiace bus with registration number ABJ 49 XH, occurred on Wednesday at 6:04 p.m.
A witness claims that when the bus left the Lokoja axis at a high rate of speed, it struck a pothole, which caused the driver to lose control and send the vehicle into a ditch.

The collision caused injuries to eight passengers, four of whom were adult males and four of whom were adult females.
According to information obtained by Obasanjonews.com, casualties were rescued by Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials and sent to the hospital in their patrol vehicle.
The accident was confirmed by an anonymous FRSC official, who blamed it on a speed limit infraction.
To receive medical attention, the eight injured victims were brought to Kwali General Hospital.
