There will be an eight-day blackout in Warri and Effurun in the Warri South and Uvwie Local Government Areas of Delta State from Monday, December 4 to Monday, December 11, 2023.
In a statement issued by the BEDC, Warri Region, copies of which were sent to media on Sunday night, the Benin Electricity Distribution Company disclosed this.
According to the statement, the electrical distribution company will be able to fix its panel circuit breakers at Okoloba during the projected week-long power outage.

This is to notify our esteemed customers that we will be replacing the outdated 11KV Indoor Panel Circuit Breakers at Okoloba ISS starting tomorrow, Monday, December 4, 2023, and finishing on or before December 11th, 2023, according to a portion of the announcement.
“PTI, Airport Road, Sapele Road, Effurun, and the surrounding Warri area are among the impacted areas, in that order.
“We appreciate your patience as BEDC works to provide you with improved service.
Warri and the Effurun metropolitan area reportedly took two weeks to recover from the BEDC outage.
