Even as Ramadan is observed, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, has urged Muslims and his followers to stay committed to stability and the rule of law.
In a message posted on his official Twitter account, Mr. Obi also reassured Nigerians and the OBIdients that the fight for a New Nigeria is well underway.
The former governor of Anambra State claimed that his staff had refrained from responding directly to the myriad distracting accusations and false reports made against Datti Baba-Ahmed and himself because Lent and Ramadan are cherished times.
The Obi-Datti team continues to pray that the difficulties will be addressed without causing more harm to the economy, the country, or the interests of the nation, he added.
