Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, the Federal Capital Territory’s Minister of State, has urged Muslims worldwide to use Eid-el-Maulud as a time for introspection, encouraging community and spiritual regeneration.

As the faithful celebrate Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday, the Minister made this statement on her Facebook page.

As we commemorate this important day, she urged the Muslim Ummah to intensify their prayers for our beloved country—praying for peace, progress, and development.

The Minister further stated that the occasion should help to deepen the ties of brotherhood and goodwill among Nigerians, fostering a sense of unity for the country’s sustained development during this time of rekindled optimism.
