The significance of Eid-el-Kabir, according to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and Kogi State Governor Usman Ododod, is a reminder of the Almighty Allah’s unwavering grace on humanity.

They stated as much in their Sunday Sallah messages.

Adeleke urged the Muslim faithful to follow the example of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) deed of selflessness and humble stance, pointing out that the occasion highlighted the reward of obedience and faith in Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala).

He urged Muslims to take advantage of the event to strengthen ties and create a community that is secure and well-maintained.

“I extend my congratulations to all Muslims on this momentous Islamic occasion and request that we renew our commitment to preserving its essential values, which emphasise faith in Allah and selflessness.

Let us make the most of this time to preserve the spiritual advantages of the occasion by spreading love and unity across all barriers and remembering to ask Allah for continued peace and advancement for Osun State and Nigeria at large.

“As a government, we are leading the way in sacrifice to improve the lives of the people, following in the footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). I encourage the people to adopt a similar mindset to improve the social, political, and economic landscapes of Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.

“I ask for continued prayer and support for our administration as we work to transform Osun and make it the envy of all of Africa, not just Nigeria.”

Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, the governor of Kogi State, has, on his part, asked Nigerians, especially those in the state, to support President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s programmes and policies because they are intended to improve the country.

Shortly after completing his Eid-el-Kabir prayers in Okene, Ododo, who took office, issued a command urging fervent prayer for the current administration to overcome its obstacles.

Despite the early challenges, he characterised the president as someone who was steadfastly dedicated to giving the people a fresh start.

The governor stated that Kogi State is not a place where criminals would come to test their cunning, even though they will continue to make security their top priority under the current administration.
