Friday, April 21 and Monday, April 24 have been designated as public holidays by the federal government.
This is to commemorate the Eid-al-Fitr holiday this year.
On behalf of the administration, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, minister of interior, made this announcement.
Aregbesola commended Muslims for finishing the fasting month of Ramadan in a statement that was signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Shuaib Belgore.
He urged them to emulate the qualities of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, which include compassion, love, tolerance, peace, self-denial, sacrifice, and good neighbourliness (Peace be upon Him).
