Augustine Eguavoen, technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), thinks the Super Eagles are capable of winning the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
In 2013, in South Africa, the Super Eagles last had success on the continent.
Next year in Cote d’Ivoire, the West Africans will try to capture their fourth AFCON championship.
The group that Jose Peseiro’s team was placed in includes the host nation, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau.

Eguavoen is adamant that the Super Eagles can defeat the other 23 teams and win the championship.
Since 2013, we haven’t been able to win the Nations Cup back, but Eguavoen said, “We have been desperate to try to get it back. We know we have the capacity, the quality, and everything to be able to win it.”
“But to say it is easy to achieve is another thing. Therefore, everyone has to work towards the same objective, support the team in any way we can, and support the coaches. The players also have to go out there and perform their duties.”
