Sen. Kashim Shettima, the vice president, stated on Saturday that in order to address the numerous security issues facing the nation, both kinetic and non-kinetic strategies must be investigated.
He made this statement during the Executive Intelligence Management Course 16 graduation ceremony held in Abuja by the National Institute for Security Studies.
According to Shettima, non-kinetic tactics as well as kinetic ones must be used to combat the banditry in the North Central region, the terrorism in the North East and North West, and the agitation of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the South East.

Shettima urged national unity and reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s commitment to bringing about development in the nation while pleading with Nigerians for their support.
The Department of State Services (DSS) Director General made a speech at the ceremony and made a hint about the agency’s impending release of weapons made by its employees.
He claims that in due course, the DSS will start to “produce what it eats, and eat what it produces.”

With 89 participants from 35 agencies in Nigeria and four other African nations—Niger, The Gambia, Rwanda, and Chad—the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 16 got underway in February 2023.
