The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ola Olukoyede, emphasized the need for Nigerian journalists, hotel owners, and bank compliance officers to be more vigilant and actively support the fight against corruption.
During a visit to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Olukoyede, represented by Acting Zonal Director ACE I Effa I. Okim, acknowledged the crucial role of the media in combating graft.
He expressed gratitude for their efforts in educating the public and setting an anti-corruption agenda.
Olukoyede stressed the importance of unity in tackling corruption and urged journalists to intensify their coverage of this pervasive issue.

In a meeting with the Hotel Owners Association in Edo and Delta State, Olukoyede urged hotel owners to prevent their establishments from becoming safe havens for internet fraudsters and other criminals.
He emphasized the need for compliance officers in banks to strictly adhere to ethical standards and regulations while carrying out their responsibilities.
Olukoyede’s call for increased vigilance and cooperation underscores the collective responsibility in the fight against corruption and financial crimes.
