The EFCC has brought forth new charges against former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, his brother, Ahmad Sirika, and their company, Enginos Nigeria Limited, for an alleged fraud amounting to over N19.4bn.
The charges relate to various contracts awarded by the former minister to Enginos Nigeria Limited, a company owned by Sirika’s younger brother, Abubakar.
The Sirika brothers and Enginos Nigeria Limited are scheduled to appear before Justice Belgore of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.

The EFCC’s fresh charges accuse Sirika of using his position as Minister of Aviation to confer an unfair advantage upon Enginos Nigeria Limited, which is owned by his brother, by influencing the award of contracts to the company.
The anti-graft agency alleges that Sirika’s actions violated Section 19 of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000, and are punishable under the same section.
The charges detail instances where Sirika allegedly used his position to influence the award of contracts to Enginos Nigeria Limited, including the construction of a terminal building at Katsina Airport and the establishment of a Fire Truck Maintenance and Refurbishment Centre at the same airport.
