The officers inspected a small bag he had with him in an effort to determine his identity.
After discovering his identity card, it was confirmed that Sylvanus was an EFCC official. However, the details surrounding his death are still unclear.
“He works for the EFCC; his ID card is right there,” voices, including that of a policeman, were heard saying in the video.
Although the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale stated that the death of the alleged commission officer is under investigation.
Oyewale mentioned that the death is under investigation.
The death of this officer occurred just two weeks after Aminu Salisu, an EFCC official, was shot during the commission’s raid in Awka, the capital of Anambra state.
