Cubana Chiefpriest is set to be arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged naira mutilation.
The EFCC will present the case before the Federal High Court in Lagos, accusing Cubana Chiefpriest of spraying and tampering with the Nigerian currency.
The charge sheet, filed on April 4, 2024, states that Cubana Chiefpriest tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) during a social event at Eko Hotel on February 13, 2024.
This act is considered an offense under Section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act 2007. It is worth noting that more celebrities are expected to face similar charges for spraying the naira at extravagant parties in the near future.
