Due to accusations of online fraud, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ibadan, Oyo State, has detained five people, including twin brothers Taiwo and Kehinde Adio.

This was stated in a statement released on Thursday in Abuja by its spokesperson, Dele Oyewale.

He claims that on December 7, they were taken into custody in the Ibadan neighbourhoods of Apete and Apata as a result of surveillance and useful information on their alleged involvement in online activities.

Jeremiah Gabi, Dennis Gomina, Adepoju Ibukun, Olabode Opeyemi, and Adewumi Ayomide are the other five accused.

In a similar spirit, on December 7, the Ibadan Zonal Command of the EFCC received three suspected online fraudsters from the Oyo State Police Command. While on patrol, the cops detained them.

“The EFCC’s investigations showed that one of the three suspects was not engaged in online fraud, and they were promptly released without posting bail.

He declared, “The two suspects are Ayoola Oluwatosin and Joseph Isaac Justice.”

He stated that among the things retrieved from the nine alleged con artists were two Samsung smartphones, an iPhone 11, and a Toyota Corolla.
