The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdul Rasheed Bawa, has been placed on indefinite leave by President Bola Tinubu.
This comes in response to serious allegations of abuse of office made against him.
Bawa was given the order to turn over the management of his office to the Director of Operations at the Commission right away.
Bawa’s suspension was based on serious allegations of abuse of office, according to a brief statement released on Wednesday by Willie Bassey, Director, Information, SGF office.
“Mr. Bawa has been directed to immediately handover the affairs of his office to the Director, Operations, in the Commission, who will oversee the affairs of the Office of the Chairman of the Commission pending the conclusion of the investigation,” the statement read.”My son is named Dawson, says Davido.
