EFCC apprehends 5 suspects for internet fraud in Makurdi

Five alleged online scammers have been taken into custody by Makurdi, Benue State, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) agents assigned to the Makurdi Zonal Command.

This was revealed in a post on the anti-graft agency X account on Thursday.

According to the statement, they were taken into custody on Thursday as a result of reliable information on their suspected involvement in online offences.

Stanley Tochukwu, Desmond Tochukwu, Dennis Emeka, George Ebuka, and Arinze Odo are among the suspects named in the statement.

The suspects were found to have several goods, including phones, power banks, ATM cards, and some cash, according to the EFCC.

It further stated that as soon as the investigations are over, charges will be brought against them in court.
