Veteran singer Eedris Abdulkareem, who is controversial, expressed his thoughts about the current generation of Nigerian singers.

According to him, the newer generation of musicians primarily uses the labour of veterans for their own financial benefit.

The “Jaga Jaga” crooner advised Nigerian musicians to combat social evils with their platforms rather than advancing frivolities.

Abdulkareem stated, “The younger generation of [Nigerian] musicians is not ready,” in an interview with SRTV.

“They are only there to take advantage of the hard work we put in and enrich themselves. They are incredibly self-centered individuals.

They should keep in mind that their extended family members do not possess visas, despite the fact that they and their family believe they have permission to leave the country in an emergency.

“Everyone will perish here. Be not self-centered, then. As much as you use your music to promote frivolities, use it to discuss social injustices.
