EEDC apologises for the Anambra power outage
The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) Management has expressed regret over the power outage that its customers are now dealing with in Awada, Anambra, and other places.
This was said in a statement made by Mr. Emeka Ezeh, the company’s head of corporate communications, on Saturday in Onitsha.
In his statement, he stated, “EEDC wishes to advise its customers that the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) Awada station malfunction, which has been the cause of the ongoing blackout for several days, is being attended to.
TCN engineers are now switching our 3-3, Obosi, and Ossamala 33KV feeds from the broken TR11, 60MVA 132/33KV power transformer, to the station’s newly installed 100MVA power transformer.
The TR13 60MVA and Mobitra 40MVA 132/33KV power transformers are turned off to ensure a safe working environment for the engineers. This has an impact on the 33KV feeders for Niccus, Nnewi-Oba, Nnewi Industrial, Awada 2, and Army Barracks.
“There is currently no electricity available to any of the customers who receive their supply from these feeders.”
Ezeh expressed the company’s apology for any inconveniences the development may have caused its clients and gave them the assurance that supply will be resumed as soon as the maintenance was finished.
He stated that EEDC is still dedicated to delivering better services.
