Governor Bala Mohammed’s inaugural Education Summit was hailed as a great success and evidence of his unwavering dedication to advancing the field by Dr. Jamila Dahiru, the Bauchi State Commissioner for Education.

In an interview with reporters on Monday night following the conclusion of the first day’s business session of the Summit, Dahiru stated that the governor’s dedication to education was admirable.

She believed that the state’s education will reach the necessary standard thanks to the governor’s commitment to reforming the industry and the Education Summit.

“Thank God for the results of the engagement, the various stakeholders, and the individuals who were invited, all of whom were present, including the State Minister of Education who spoke on behalf of the Federal Minister of Education,” she exclaimed.

“It was the governor himself who opened the Summit and stayed till the evening when we called it a day.

Being among the first to show up, much alone attend the summit, shows how committed our administration is to making sure that we achieve great things in education.

We are talking about the future of Bauchi State, not politics, based on the diverse resource persons that were brought in.

“There are people here, and I can assure you that we won’t sleep until we create a road map. I also know that his excellency is committed to restoring quality in education in Bauchi State, and I can guarantee that the plan will be implemented.

It is evident that all pertinent parties, including traditional institutions, resource persons, policy makers, heads of Ministry of Education-affiliated organisations, and other connected agencies, are present and actively participating in the process of formulating policies.

“We are pleased with the contributions, the engagement, and the remarks that are made.

The results demonstrate that individuals are eager to improve the quality of education in Bauchi State.

The Commissioner stated that the summit was one of the plans implemented to lower the number of state-wide dropout rates.

You examine the theme “Nurturing a flourishing future: Improving access and quality education in Bauchi State,” which discusses both increasing educational access and quality, the speaker stated.

As you can see from the access section, we are working to find ways to get children enrolled in all of our schools—pre-primary, primary, and even higher education—in order to increase the human capital, capacity, and economic development of the state.

She clarified that the summit’s main goal was to provide every child with a high-quality education, aside from access, and expressed hope that a blueprint for education would be created.

“The state will implement the roadmap with critical attention, emphasis, and all necessary steps to restore the excellence of education in Bauchi State.”

Dahiru clarified that Governor Bala Mohammed is placing a strong focus on hiring competent instructors for all of the state’s schools as part of his attempts to raise the standard of education.

“Many recommendations were made from our discussions on human capital development in education, including the use of technology to enhance our teachers’ human capacity,” the speaker stated.

“Improving human access to education is important because capital development is the foundation of mankind.

“I would say that we have arrangements to increase the number of teachers, improve the teachers, and improve on the human capacity of our teachers.”

The Nigeria Teachers Institute’s director general and chief executive was revealed by the commissioner for education to be one of the important resource people.

“The Director General made a strong case for the need to enhance teacher preparation programmes and to hire qualified candidates for our classrooms,” she said.

“We will definitely put these kinds of recommendations into practice in Bauchi State to raise the calibre of our teaching staff there,” the governor said.
